COK Wins VegNews 2005 Veggie Award
The much-anticipated VegNews 2005 Veggie Awards are outand COK
is honored to have been selected as the Organization Most Deserving of Your
Year-End Donation!
From the November/December 2005 issue of VegNews magazine:
"On page 44 of this issue, Nora Kramer makes a solid case for supporting
organizations that return the most bang for your buck. No group does this
more with less than Washington, D.C.'s Compassion Over Killing. With an annual
budget of only $400,000 and just four paid staffers, COK's long list of successful
campaignsmost notably taking on the egg industry for deceptive labelingput
many larger 501(c)(3)'s efforts to shame. If you have an extra $25 in your
year-end donation budget, COK is most deserving."
As a grassroots organization, COK understands the need to make every dollar
go as far as possible. We've grown substantially from very modest beginnings
in 1995with no paid staff, no office space, and an annual budget of $50and
it's only because of the generosity of our countless supporters that we've been
able to make such strides in helping farmed animals. Thank you for helping us
help animals!
